Ara kept her head down, her shoes resting on the rungs of the stool she sat on. Granny’s Diner always had the best food, in her opinion, much better than the crap she cooked in her apartment. Her hands were wrapped around a mug of hot chocolate.
It amazed her, in many ways, that the Savior still managed to get into trouble. Even after all this time. And it amazed her that she was able to keep her nose down.
But when the Savior was standing so close to her, she couldn’t help it.
